Explanation

This lesson hook is an online game about human organ systems.  It introduces the respiratory, circulatory, nervous/sensory, digestive and skeletal systems.  Because it combines some of the systems together, such as the respiratory and circulatory systems, students are able to see how organ systems are all interconnected and they do not exist independently.

A Worthwhile Hook Activity

This lesson hook is a fun, interactive game that can be used to introduce the organ systems unit in grade 10 science.  It’s a good reminder about which organ systems are in the human body, and it gets the students thinking about what organs make up each organ system.  After completing this activity, the teacher can introduce the organ systems of other living things, and prompt the students to start thinking about how they are different and similar to human organ systems.
