Logarithm of a product = 5 x 4
log (5 x 4 ) = log(5) + log(4) ----(1)

Product of logarithms (log 5) x (log 4) -----(2)

Compute (1) and (2) using a calculator ans note they are not the same.

logarithm of a product simply equal to sum of logarithms of each individual number.
