How can you rehydrate an anhydrous salt so it will become a hydrate again?

Can someone help me with this question? I don't know how to answer it. Thanks to all. Slight Smile

You don't just pour water on it!  How for example are you going to get beautiful crystals of CuSO4.5H2O with the correct stoichiometry from powdered CuSO4?
Answer: You recrystallize the anhydrous compound from water.
