If it would not be a good choice, draw the structure of an organic molecule that might be more suitable.

Most commercially available soaps have a pH of 7 to 9 (but some are as high as 10).  Solutions with low pH (acidic) tend to react with the soap in a neutralization reaction.

This format is not very good for drawing structures, but fatty (saturated) alcohol alkoxylates usually do well in slightly acidic solutions as emulsifying agents.
