F/m = a

Although the force of air resistance is a little smaller on the golf ball, the ball's much smaller mass means the deceleration of the golf ball is greater than that of the heavy bowling ball.

Because a bowling ball has less resistance to drag, since it is completely smooth, wheras a golf ball has numerous indentations that the air flows around, causing greater resistance, as the air has to pass over many surfaces, as opposed to 1.

Inertia. The bowling ball has a much greater mass than the golf ball and thus has a much greater inertia. A greater inertia means the object has a tendency to continue its current state of motion. If they both start at 18m/sec, the bowling ball has a greater tendency to maintain this velocity.
