A researcher claimed to have achieved fusion in an electrochemical cell at room temperature. He claimed a power output of 8 W from deuterium fusion reactions. If the two most likely reactions are
2H + 2H ? 3He + n + 32.7 MeV
and
2H + 2H ? 3He + 1H + 4.03 MeV
with 20 percent of the reactions going by each branch, how many neutrons per second would we expect to be emitted in the generation of 8 W of power?

"20 percent of the reactions going by each branch"

that leaves 60% unaccounted for. Can't answer without that info.
