I have to start with cyclohexanecarbaldehye and synthesize 2-cyclohexyl-2-hydroxyacetic acid.  I have been working on it for hours and can't figure out a way.  See picture here : http://i.imgur.com/3EoV3.png

This is an addition of HCN to the aldehyde and then hydrolysis of the nitrile to the carboxylic acid.
