dont be lazy.

look it up on wikipedia, most have to do with the structure of DNA and the genetic code but that doesnt mean you should make the people that already know about it type it out again because you procrastinated on your homework.

hershey and chase injected some sort of radioactive phosphorous and sulfur to see which one entered the nucleus of the cell... phosphorous did and its in DNA... so voila! they figured out DNA is genetic material instead of proteins

Five bucks says Watson slept with Franklin and while she was asleep stole those X-ray diffractions data off her nightstand and gave him to ye olde codebreaker Crick. seriously the guy was like in his twenties and had a PhD in bird watching. I doubt he could have calculated the bond angle in an African Swallow.

Griffith was a biologist guy who studied pneumonia. He injected rats with heat-killed disease cells, which did not give pneumonia. He also noticed that some pneumonia cells, with rough edges, were harmless, and others, with smooth edges, caused pneumonia, the lung disease. He then mixed heat-killed smooth edge cells with harmless rough edge cells, and this mixture caused pneumonia in the mice. He had discovered transformation, where information from the dead, harmfull cells had influenced the living, harmless cells to become harmful, a passing of genetic information.

Oswald Avery was in the Rockefeller institute, and there he re-performed Griffith's experiments. He took out things like DNA, protein, and RNA from the heat-killed harmful bacteria and injected each into the living harmless bacteria until he found which one caused the harmless to transform into harmful. He found that DNA caused it, so DNA transfers such genetic information.

Watson and Crick built a 3D model of DNA.

Franklin used X-rays and found a sort of double helix pattern in DNA.

Hershey and Chase used radiation with phagocytes or something...I don't really remember, but at first, many thought that protein caused inherited traits. They discovered that DNA carried the traits that are passed from generation to generation.
