Mitosis is Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase & Telophase. Interphase is considered to be separate & part of the cell cycle.

Interphase:
Cell grows
DNA duplicated
organelles duplicated

Prophase:
Chromatin condenses into chromosomes
Centrioles migrate to opposing sides of the cell
Nuclear membrane disappears
Nucleolus disappears
Spindle fibers begin to form

Metaphase:
Chromosomes line up across the center of the cell
Spinder fibers attach to the center of each chromosome at the centromere.

Anaphase:
Chromosomes are pulled apart by spindle fibers
Each half is pulled to opposite sides of the cell

Telophase:
Chromatids arrive at opposite ends of the cell
New nuclear membranes begin to form
Chromosomes begin to unwind
Cells begin to separate

Cytokinesis:
Cytoplasm divides
Two daughter cells result that are exact duplicates of the parent cell
