Most cells of the body reproduced by mitosis[ a form of cellular division]  why don't erythrocytes reproduce by mitosis?

Erythrocytes are the scientific name for red blood cells, and those cells do not contain any nucleus, thus no DNA, and therefore can not replicate. They are produced in the bone marrow.

Blood cells are the mature form of a cell that previously contained a nucleus.
