How were Picasso's images of war different than previous or contemporary artists?

  A) Picasso refused to show the horrors of war as others had done, just the reactions to it, incorporating both techniques of Expressionism and Cubism.
  B) Picasso's reality of war was imaged in miniature boxes of aggravated, detached segments of horror that one could not entirely envision.
  C) Picasso's images of war were more realistic than any previous works.
  D) Picasso never painted images of war, yet titled many of his works as if they were.
  E) Picasso re-imagined war as a game of chess.
