A 940mL NaCl solution is diluted to a volume of 1.50L and a concentration of 8.00M . What was the initial concentration? Express the molar concentration numerically.

Write an equilibrium expression for each of the following chemical equations.

 2NO2(g)⇌N2O4(g)
Use A for [NO2], B for [N2O4].

2BrNO(g)⇌2NO(g)+Br2(g)
Use A for [BrNO], B for [NO], C for [Br2].

H2O(g)+CO(g)⇌H2(g)+CO2(g)
Use A for [H2O], B for [CO], C for [H2], D for [CO2].

CH4(g)+2H2S(g)⇌CS2(g)+4H2(g)
Use A for [CH4], B for [H2S], C for [CS2], D for [H2].

Hi kwoods30,

M1V1 = M2V2
.94X = 1.5*8
.94X = 12
X = 12.77M

2NO2(g)⇌N2O4(g)
Use A for [NO2], B for [N2O4]
.
Keq = [B ]/[A]^2

2BrNO(g)⇌2NO(g)+Br2(g)
Use A for [BrNO], B for [NO], C for [Br2].
Keq = [C]*[B ]^2/[A]^2

Quote
H2O(g)+CO(g)⇌H2(g)+CO2(g)
Use A for [H2O], B for [CO], C for [H2], D for [CO2].
Keq = [C]*[D]/([A]*[B ])

Quote
CH4(g)+2H2S(g)⇌CS2(g)+4H2(g)
Use A for [CH4], B for [H2S], C for [CS2], D for [H2].
Keq = [D]^4*[C]/([A]*[B ]^2)

Hope this helps,
Laser
