Well, if you search, you can easily find the melting points: (gold 1064 °C and Gallium 29,77). But is that how you are supposed to find them?

Sorry I wasn't more clear.  I am wondering if there is an equation that I should know that uses the information found on the Periodic Table to determine melting points of elements.  Thanks for helping me out.  I really appreciate it.

I'm almost sure there is no such equation. There are lots of things that affects the melting point, and it's pretty difficult to include all of them in one equation.
