Concerning the relationship of individual actions and history, Hegel believes that
 
 

a. historical events are solely the product of free and arbitrary individual decisions.
   b. individual actions arise out of the flow of historical forces.
  c. individual actions make no difference to the course of history whatsoever.
  d. it is impossible to find any sort of pattern at work in history or individual actions.
