Taq DNA polymerase (from Thermus aquaticus) is often used in PCR reactions. The advantage of using this polymerase, compared with most other bacterial DNA polymerases, is that:
 a. The Taq DNA polymerase is almost error free for DNA synthesis.
  b. The Taq DNA polymerase is much more catalytically active than other polymerases.
  c. The Taq DNA polymerase is typically in the form of an expression cassette, which allows many copies of the target DNA to be synthesized.
  d. The Taq DNA polymerase is very thermostable, avoiding the need to add new polymerase after each PCR cycle.
