With the three resistors connected in parallel, they measured total current of 1.48 A. Is this an unexpected result? Explain your answer.

When resistors are in parallel, the voltage is the same for resistor. The total current is the sum of the currents.

I = V ÷ R
Total current = V/R1 + V/R2 + V/R3 = 1.48

The following equation is used to determine the equivalent resistance of a parallel circuit.

1/Req = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3
