1. The  graph of y = sqrt(x) is vertically stretched by a factor of 2 about the x-axis, then reflected about the y-axis, and then horizontally translated left 3. What is the equation of the transformed function?

2. The graph of the function f(x) = x ^ 3 is transformed to obtain the function g(x) = f(x - h) + k. The point (0, 0) on f maps onto (2, 1) on g. What is the x-intercept of the graph of g(x) ?
