I'm thinking about majoring in Chemistry with concentration in material science.  I'm a little worried though that I might not be able to get a good job out of college with a bachelor degree.  I am planning to go to graduate school, but I would like to know if a degree in Chemistry with concentration in material science would be a good fall-back degree in case I don't get into grad school.

Some pretty cool ones if you ask me.

Advanced Materials Scientists and Engineers are in big demand if you know where to look.

We are quickly approching the practical mass-manufacturing use of nano-technology and nano-materials.

We may see this as soon as 2013, but probably more around 2022 according to ITR.
