Can you write out the steps please?

the standard equation of a slope intercept form is (y-y1)=m(x-x1)

We know that if the slope of a line is m, the slope of the line perpendicular ot that line is -1/m
The slope of y=3x-4 is 3 (since it is of the form, y=mx+c)

So the slope of the line perpendicular to the above line is -1/3 (i.e., -1/m).

And the line passes through the point (3,6) so substituting m, x1 and y1 in the standard equation of a slope intercept form i.ei., (y-y1)=m(x-x1)

                                        (y-6) = (-1/3)(x-3)

Hence the linear equation in slope-intercept form that is perpendicular to y = 3x - 4 and crosses (3,6)                                             is    y = (-1/3)x + 7
