I am almost done with my anatomy homework, but there are a few questions i couldn't find in my textbook or with google. Please answer them or give links if you know any of them.

Why does inhaled air need to be warmed, filtered, and moistened?

Would the biceps femoris of a pig ever be used for food? If so, what type?

Why do you think it is an advantage for pigs to have long uterine horns and a small uterine body and not the opposite?

Why do you think it is good to have a brain with many gyri and sulci%3

The biceps femoris of a pig is the back of the leg. It would be used to make, among other things, ham.

Gyri and sulci increase the surface area of the brain without increasing the size of the brain. This allows more neurons to be packed in per cubic inch of brain. If the brain were unfolded, it would be many times larger than the folded brain (2.5 square feet).
