A vehicle exhibits a knocking sound around 2000 rpm and goes away when the # 2 cylinder is disabled.
Tech A says the problem may be caused by excessive camshaft endplay.
Tech B says the problem could be caused by worn connecting rod bearings.
Who is correct?
