A-  The plasma membrane controls what substances go in and out of the cell  

B-  The plasma membrane is composed of two layers of phospholipids arranged in such a way that  their hydrophobic parts face outward  

C- Proteins, cholesterol, and glycoproteins are also part of the plasma membrane

D- Active transport uses energy to move molecules against their concentration gradient
