So I absolutely love biology, and I was wondering what kind of jobs I could get with a biology major. I used to want to be a nurse, but then I realized that that is more taking care of people, and not really looking at the science part of it. I kinda want to do something with medical research, and I'm really good with genetics particularly. Im just kinda worried about the job outlook aspect of it, like how hard it will be to find a job and that kind of stuff.

You should definitely plan to attend grad school, whether its med school or something else. If its just a Biology major with no specializations, then you can't really do much with it. You should either A) go to grad school or B) specialize within your current major if possible (for example, Biotechnology).

Yes the other post is correct. Even with a concentration or specialization, a BA in biology will provide very minimal employment opportunities. In fact, if research is your true passion then most definitely you will need to aspire to earn a master's or PhD since these advanced degrees are needed to conduct research. With a BA in biology you may qualify to be a research assistant, but that's about it. You can become a lab technician fairly easily however with a biology degree. That's not to say that there aren't other lucrative careers you can pursue with a BA in biology. For example with the appropriate specialization/concentration you can qualify to become any of the following: Conservation Scientist, Environmental Biologist, Marine Biologist or Zoologist. Another popular career choice is becoming a forensic scientist. Usually a bachelor degree in forensic science is needed to gain employment, however some employers do offer these positions to applicants who have a bachelor's in biology or a related.
