According to the Hardy-Weinberg principle, what are two factors that affect the genetics of populations under certain conditions?

I don't understand this questions at all...please help  by answering it 10 points thanks.

The Hardy-Weinberg law demonstrates that an "ideal" population has these two properties:
1. The frequency of alleles does not change from generation to generation.
2. After one generation of random mating, offspring genotype frequencies can be predicted from the parent allele frequencies, and would be expected to remain constant from that point.
