what type of doctor prescribes valtrex or acyclovir?

I have hsv-1 and was wondering which doctor I go to to get valtrex or acyclovir. Do I go to my general doctor? dermetrologist?

your regular doctor you can also go to a gynocologist and get them but you dont have to go to a dermatologist.

Your regular doctor, dermatologist or I would think almost any doctor whom is allowed to write a prescription can write you one for acyclovir. But your regular doctor would be the best since they might know the most about your health.
