What is being oxidized in the manganese dioxide and hydrochloric acid reaction?

I am so confused and I'm not sure if I worked out the oxidation states correctly; I got -1 for H in 4HCl
The equation is
MnO2(g) + 4HCl(aq) ----> MnCl2(aq) + 2H2O(l) + Cl2(g)
Doesn't Cl go from -4 to 0? since its 4 HCl??

Mn goes from +4 in MnO2 to +2 in MnCl2 - Mn is reduced.

Cl goes from -1 in HCl to 0 in Cl2 - Cl is oxidized.
