in hydrobromic acid, HBr, there are 1.2 moles of hydrogen.  you therefore need 1.2 moles of the hydroxide to neutralize it.  BUT, calcium hydroxide is Ca(OH)2 and since there are 2 mols of hydroxide for every one mol of calcium hydroxide, you only need:

0.6 mol of calcium hydroxide
