Calculate the molarity of the following solutions:

A) 1.00 L of solution contains 0.326 mol of solute.

B) 0.0942 mol of solute is put into a container and enough distilled water is added to give 100 mL of solution.

A)  0.326 M
B)  0.0942mol/0.1L = 0.942mol/L = 0.942M

Molarity is defined as number of moles per liter of solution. So for A, 0.326 moles in 1 liter is 0.326 molar. For B, same idea applies. Figure out how many moles are in 1 liter.
