The Disabilities Education Act (Public Law 94142) required that public schools provide
 
  a. free and appropriate public education to all school-aged children between the ages of 3 and 21, regardless of their disability.
  b. increased funding for teaching assistants for students with special needs, when deemed appropriate.
  c. before and after childcare for all children of school age.
  d. funding for summer courses for students who fall behind during the regular academic year.
