The red kernel color in wheat is caused by the presence of at least one
dominant allele from each of two independently segregating gene pairs (e.g.,
R-B-). Wheat plants with rrbb genotypes have white kernels, and plants with
genotypes R-bb and rrB- have yellow kernels. You cross a plant true
breeding for red kernels with a plant true breeding for white kernels.

wrtiting a hypothesis
heyy! I am doing a science lab report and my problem is this:
1.   Are corn seeds of type I (no treatment) and type II (heat treatment) viable?
2.   Does the heat exposure affect corn seed viability?

is this hypothesis a good one?
If the seed was accidentally boiled then the seed won’t grow because the heat will kill the seed.

AP BIO help?
My AP  BIO book says each DNA molecule is made up of two long chains arranged into what is called a double helix. Each link of a chain is one of four kinds of chemical building blocks called nucleotides.

My question is what's a link of a chain? Is it a segment of a double helix chain? If So, is ONE segment/link just one type of the four kinds of nucleotides (Ade

Synthetic Life
Synthetic Life
This article focuses on a group of researchers aimed to create a synthetic organism containing the bare minimum amount of genes required for life. Their objective is to shed light on what is fundamentally required for cellular life.

Bio ethical concerns can easily arise from such a topic, and ethical debates such as 'playing god' can be argued.

Researchers have found an antigen, AnAPN1 that triggers humans to create antibodies that prevent transmission of malaria by mosquitoes. If a mosquito takes in enough of these anitbodies the disease can be 'locked' into it and become untransmissable. Though this is promising, the problem lies in getting it into the mosquitoes. The proposed mechanism is throw their food source
