Answer to q. 1

An extinct species is one that is lost forever; i.e., extinction occurs when the last member of
that species dies. An endangered species is a species that is in imminent danger of extinction
throughout all or a significant part of its range. A threatened species is a species that is likely
to become endangered in the foreseeable future.
