The table below shows the amount of new solar power installed in the US for various years.

For the first question, see:

The last question is linear.

Use:

y = mx + b

Start by finding the slope, m:

\(m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{14000-1750}{64-8}=218.75\)

Sub into y = mx + b, then solve for b by applying a point into x and y

\(y=218.75\left(x\right)+b\)
\(7000=218.75\left(32\right)+b\)
\(7000-218.75\left(32\right)=b=0\)

Therefore the equation is: \(y=218.75x\)

This means when x = 0, output is 0 too.

In addition, for question (c), apply x = 50,000, you get: 10 937 500
