hi guys!

so i am reading the biology book by campbell 8th ed.

and i am trying to understand cellulose, chlorophyll and chloroplast.

this is what i understand about each.

cellulose- is the cell walls of plants and humans can not break it down.
chlorophyll-   makes plants green.
chloroplast- traps light and convert it to chemical energy to make photosynthesis.

am i correct about these?

and i don't understand  what are polysaccharides , monomer and  polymers can you explain what these are?

thanks

synthesis means making, and photo means light. Put this together you get the making of things using light. Photosynthesis is a process that makes sugar using light. Slight Smile

Photosynthesis also involves water, CO2, and light to produce sugar and oxygen.

Ok I wanna know if Im understanding polysaccharide correct.
Polysaccharide are large surgar that are made up of polymers and polymers are made up of monomers.
And the chain idea is lke
the monomers are the one single metal n the And having more than one of those metal (monomers) makes the polymers.

Thanks for The help!

Polysaccharide are large sugar molecules (polymers) made up of monomers, and polymers are made up of monomers.

All the following are polysaccharides (polymers)
