simply put, cellular differentiation controls the growth of different cell types...hence promoting development of the complete organism

"division of labour"
is the key to development of complex organisms. The cells differentiate and become organised in a systematic way.

e.g : muscles cells have more mitochondria so that they can generate more power. as there function requires.
Heart cells are specialised to be Fatique-resistant . so they never stop

thats how every muscle and cell works.
in lower phyla ... eg "phylum Porefera" the cells are not differentiated so they are less developed and less successfull than Humans
