my roommate went away for the weekend and asked me to feed their sugar gliders but they locked the door and i can't get in. they haven't eaten since last night and my roommate won't be back until 2ish tomorrow. are they going to be okay?

After reading the wikipedia page (see link) it seems those small animals can cope with lack of food by lowering their body temperature; so they will most likely pull through better than, say, a shrew which must eat its own body weight ever day.

Next time, suggest that your roommate has a spare key made up for you, to avoid the risk of forgetting about locking the door.

Sugar Glider should be OK...have one on my shoulder now. they make a hard food that you can put in the cage, like cat food but for Sugar Gliders, it works in a pinch like going to be gone a day or two but doesn't replace the fruits and veggies long term.
