Exchange rates are constantly fluctuating due to changes in the supply and demand for currencies and numerous other factors. Look at the following chart that lists the exchange rates for several major currencies priced in U.S. dollars at the time this Instructor’s Resource Guide was written.

Currency Pair   (Direct rate) U.S. $ equivalent per unit of foreign currency on November 20, 2012   U.S. $ equivalent per unit of foreign currency on today’s date
USD-Japanese yen   $.01223/¥   
USD-British pound   $1.5983/£   
USD-Euro   $1.2852/€   

1.  Compare the rates listed in the previous table to the rates at the present time and fill in column three of the table.
