Also, how many ATP are required to make a glucose?
the krebs cycle can occur in both plant and animal cells

Calvin cycle happens in plants.

Krebs' cycle in animals.

2 ATP are needed to make glucose I think. And if I remember correctly, glycolysis produces a net gain of 2 ATP, which comes before the Krebs' cycle

The calvin cycle (plants):
takes ATP and NADPH,  to make ----> glucose

The krebs cycle (animals and plants):
takes pyruvate (which was broken down from GLUCOSE in glycolysis), to make ----> ATP, NADH, and FADH2

Summary: the calvin cycle uses energy in the form of ATP and NADPH (similar to NADH but in plants) to store energy in glucose, WHILE the krebs cycle breaks down the stored energy in glucose (actually pyruvate) into energy in the form of ATP, NADH, and another form called FADH2.

3 ATP are used in the Calvin cycle to make one glucose, along with of course 2 NADPH.

In the calvin cycle it uses ATP to make sugar in the krebs cycle it uses sugar to make ATP.
