Mg (as the atomic number increases by group, the first ionization energy decreases)

Ca (as the atomic number increases by period, the first ionization energy increases)

Mg because its radius is smaller, thus, making its ionization energy greater.  

Ca for the same reason stated above.  

Remember from the bottom of the periodic table up, and from left to right, the radii decrease and the ionization energy increase.
