I need to set up a serial dilution that is a serial 1:10 dilution of a stock reagent.  It's performed in a 250 microliter volume, and the dilution must go down past 1:100,000.  Help!

if i take 1 mL of the reagent and add 9mL of water, it is diluted to 1/10th of the original.

if i take 1 mL of this new dilution and add another 9mL pure water, it is now 1/100th of that original concentration.

repeat this to get what you need (so repeat the 1/10th dilution a total of 5 times)except instead of 1 and 9, you use 25 and 225 microliters each time
